Ingredients
2 Cups of Granulated Sugar
1 Cup of Water
1 Pkg. of Grapes
1 pkg. of Skewers
Directions
- Wash and dry Gum Drop Grapes. Place about 5 grapes onto each skewer.
- In a pot on low to medium heat, add in 2 cups of granulated sugar and 1 cup of water. It is important not to stir this mixture.
- Bring the mixture to a boil until it reaches 300°F or until it thickens slightly with slight browning. This should take about 15 minutes.
- To test, drop in a small amount of the mixture into a bowl of ice water. It should harden within seconds and break when pressure is applied.
- Take the skewer of grapes and dip them into the mixture making sure to cover all parts of the grape. Immediately dip the grapes into a bowl of ice water for a few seconds and place them onto a sheet of parchment paper.
- Repeat until all grapes are coated and enjoy!
